Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and assisting in creating a positive patient experience. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a patient-focused approach to ensure optimal oral health outcomes.
Responsibilities
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including orthodontic treatments if applicable
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix
Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe clinical environment
Manage patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy
Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to patient care when necessary
Skills
Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
Bilingual abilities are highly preferred to serve diverse patient populations effectively
Experience in dental assisting is a plus, providing a well-rounded understanding of clinical workflows
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients of all ages
Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry and oral health care
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and patient care documentation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55.00-$60.00 per hour
