Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote healthy smiles.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to develop personalized treatment plans.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety compliance.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary advice, and preventive care strategies to improve long-term oral health outcomes
Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHR/EMR systems) while ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
Prepare dental equipment, sterilize instruments, and adhere strictly to infection prevention protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment.
Requirements
Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations. f
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices.
Demonstrated expertise in infection control procedures, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection prevention standards.
Excellent communication skills for client education and team collaboration within a busy dental office setting.
Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while maintaining patient comfort and safety standards.
