Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to ensure optimal oral health.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to tailor personalized care plans.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while adhering to infection prevention protocols.
Educate patients on proper dental care techniques, oral hygiene practices, and preventive strategies to promote lifelong oral health.
Assist with chairside procedures such as cavity preparations, sealants, and other restorative treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHR) using systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
Support infection control standards by practicing aseptic techniques, sterilizing equipment, and managing medical records securely.
Requirements
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials.
Proven experience in dental office settings, preferably with familiarity in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry.
Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and EHR management.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, and medical coding practices.
Skilled in patient care delivery, including patient assessment, education, and client communication.
Expertise in dental assisting procedures like chairside assisting and understanding of dental equipment operation.
Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control standards, including HIPAA compliance management.
