Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by providing thorough dental cleanings, patient education, and preventive services. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health and ensure a positive experience for every patient. This position offers an engaging environment where your skills in dental hygiene and patient communication will shine, contributing to the overall success of our dental practice. This position includes a Sign On Bonus.
Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring thorough removal of plaque and tartar.
Conduct initial patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental concerns to tailor treatment plans.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while maintaining strict infection prevention protocols.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health.
Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately, documenting all patient interactions, assessments, and treatment details in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to infection control standards and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety at all times.
Skills
Proficiency with dental software Eaglesoft for scheduling, documentation review, and record management.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding relevant to dental care.
Experience with pediatric dentistry procedures and working with children in a clinical setting.
Ability to operate dental equipment effectively, including X-ray machines, ultrasonic scalers, and other hygiene tools.
Excellent client communication skills to educate patients about their oral health while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.
