Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct initial patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies tailored to individual needs.
Assist with dental procedures by preparing treatment areas and providing chairside support during various treatments.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols.
Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and updates.
Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed through aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures.
Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop personalized treatment plans for pediatric dentistry and general dentistry cases.
Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, including vital signs assessment when necessary.
Support the dental team in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment aligned with OSHA guidelines.
Skills
Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control protocols.
Experience with pediatric dentistry practices, including working with children in a clinical setting.
Skilled in four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Ability to perform medical imaging procedures such as X-rays while adhering to safety standards.
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of medical records and patient information.
Knowledge of medical coding for documentation review and billing processes related to dental services.
Capable of performing chairside assisting with aseptic technique during various dental treatments.
Understanding of medical records management and documentation review processes within a dental clinic environment.
