Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)O2 Dental Group – Durham, NC
Schedule:
Monday – Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Every Other Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Position Summary
O2 Dental Group is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our growing team in Durham, NC. We are looking for a hygienist who is passionate about preventive care, enjoys educating patients, and strives to create an exceptional patient experience. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality, comprehensive dental care in a modern, supportive, and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental hygiene assessments and preventive care.

Provide adult prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, fluoride treatments, and sealants.

Take digital radiographs in accordance with state regulations.

Record periodontal charting and maintain accurate clinical documentation.

Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal health, and preventive care.

Identify areas of concern and communicate findings to the dentist.

Assist in developing individualized treatment plans alongside the doctor.

Ensure treatment rooms are properly cleaned, stocked, and prepared between patients.

Follow OSHA, HIPAA, CDC, and infection control guidelines at all times.

Deliver an exceptional patient experience through professionalism, compassion, and excellent communication.

Collaborate with doctors, assistants, and administrative team members to ensure efficient patient flow.

Qualifications
Current North Carolina Registered Dental Hygienist License.

Current CPR/BLS Certification.

Certification to administer local anesthesia (preferred or as required by state law).

Strong knowledge of periodontal therapy and preventive dentistry.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to educate patients and build lasting relationships.

Experience with digital radiography and electronic dental records preferred.

Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
