Registered Dental Hygienist

Overview
Brookview Dental Clinic in the Riverbend/Terwillegar area is seeking a dental hygienist for a part-time mat leave positon that is available July 30th. The position will take you to Jan 21, 2027 with a possiblilty of extention to permanent part-time.

We require a RDH for 1-2 days per week.

Duties
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
Assist in diagnosing periodontal issues and recommend appropriate treatments
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient concerns and ensuring a comfortable experience
Maintain accurate patient records using dental management software such as Power Practice
Collaborate with dentists and other team members to deliver comprehensive dental care
Support pediatric patients with gentle, age-appropriate care techniques
Assist with administrative tasks when necessary, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygienist license
Proven experience working in a dental office setting; familiarity with Power Practice software is preferred
Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
Ability to communicate effectively in both English and another language (bilingual skills) are highly desirable
Ability to work well within a team environment while maintaining high standards of professionalism and hygiene standards
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $55.00-$65.00 per hour
