Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Dental Hygienist with a great sense of humor to become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will utilize your expertise to provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining optimal oral health, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your passion for patient care and attention to detail will help foster a welcoming environment where patients feel confident and cared for. This is two column, assistant supported hygiene.

Duties
Prophy/scaling and root planing/full mouth debridement/scaling in the presence of inflammation
Place sealants
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.

Digital x-rays
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health.

Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (Sensei Cloud), including documentation review and medical coding.

Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to ensure patient safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Operate dental equipment safely and efficiently, including dental x-ray machines, sterilization tools, and other clinical devices.

Support the dental team in managing medical records, HIPAA compliance, and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Collaborate with dentists and other staff to deliver seamless general dentistry services in a pediatric or adult setting.

Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental office
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and healthcare infection prevention standards.

Hands-on experience with electronic health records (EHR) management systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.

Enthusiasm for working with diverse patient populations is essential.

Ability to perform dental x-rays accurately while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient education and building trust.

Knowledge of medical coding related to dental procedures is advantageous for accurate documentation review.

Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA compliance management and maintaining strict confidentiality of medical records.
