Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, taking dental x-rays, and applying fluoride treatments
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide recommendations for at-home care
- Conduct thorough dental assessments and charting of oral conditions
- Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials
- Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental Software
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care
Requirements:
- Valid Dental Hygiene license in the state of Pennsylvania. One year experience required.
- Knowledge of medical coding systems related to dental procedures
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and dental team members
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records
- Strong understanding of oral health principles and practices
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
