Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled part-time Dental Hygienist to join our growing practice! Our ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene, assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional patient experiences, and providing care with a smile! Our office prioritizes patient comfort and strives to provide a safe and inclusive dental experience for all patients, and we would like to recruit team members who share these values. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Information:
This is a PART-TIME position, as we are currently only seeking coverage bi-weekly Saturdays from 9:00AM-2:00PM.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Registered and/or licensed by the dental hygiene regulatory authority within the province (and in good standing).
- Experience with Dentrix is an asset, but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build professional relationships with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm for dental care and creating a positive patient experience!
Job Duties (Including but not Limited to):
- Perform thorough dental cleanings for patients of all ages.
- Take dental radiographs as needed.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Assist in the management of patient records using Dentrix.
- Collaborate with the doctor to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Maintain dental supply inventory.
- Participate in office-organized community events and social media content as needed.
- Foster positive relationships with patients through excellent customer service and communication.

About Signature Smiles Dental Studio
Signature Smiles Dental Studio, previously the office of Dr. Michael Raham is an Oakville staple that has been in operation for over 50 years. For five decades, the practice thrived under the care of Dr. Raham who announced his retirement in September 2024. Dr. Ayesha Jeelani (Dr A.J) has since taken over the practice, now known as Signature Smiles Dental Studio! With an upcoming increase to office hours, we are looking to grow our team and bring on fellow dental professionals who share our passion for positive, uplifting, and inclusive dentistry!
