Job Description
Overview
Full Time Dental Hygienist-(Monday-Thursday)
We are a single dentist owned practice where we strongly believe in treating our employees and patients with care and respect. We are currently looking to complete our dental team with a registered dental hygienist, experienced or new grads welcome to apply!
An ideal candidate must have a registered Dental Hygienist license in Texas and BLS/CPR certifications. Familiarity with Dentix dental software would be helpful but is not required.

Day to day responsibilities included:
Educating patients about their dental health.
Providing Prophys,SCRPs, PerioMaint and FMD to patients on a case by case basis.
Taking, FMX, Panos and intra oral images as needed.
Co-diagnosing with Doctor

Duties
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.
Perform vital signs checks and document findings accurately in medical records.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and documentation.
Assist in chairside procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain knowledge of medical imaging techniques to assist with diagnostic processes.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Implement infection control measures and aseptic techniques during all procedures.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, including medical coding as necessary.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care in a supportive environment.
Skills
Proficient Dentrix software systems.
Experience in pediatric dentistry and general dentistry practices.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols.
Familiarity with EMR systems for efficient record keeping.
Ability to perform patient assessments effectively, ensuring comprehensive care.
Excellent chairside assisting skills with a focus on four-handed dentistry techniques.
Understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental practices.
Prior experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable.
