Registered Dental Hygienist

Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and reviewing medical records to ensure safe treatment planning
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care tailored to their needs
Capture and interpret dental radiographs (medical imaging) while maintaining strict infection control protocols
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and periodontal health in electronic medical records (EMR systems) Dentrix
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and maintaining confidentiality
Requirements
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice
Proven experience in dental office settings, preferably with exposure to general dentistry and pediatric dentistry environments
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and record keeping
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care standards
Familiarity with medical coding, medical terminology, and HIPAA compliance requirements
Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate with the dental team

Pay: $42.00 - $50.00 per hour
