Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and enthusiastic Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our friendly, patient-focused private dental practice. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a team that values long-term relationships with both our patients and our staff.
Our practice is preparing for the well-earned retirement of a cherished hygienist who has dedicated 16+ years of exceptional care to our patients. We are looking for someone who is excited to continue that tradition of excellence while building lasting relationships of their own. Her last day with us will be December 31, 2026 so the position will need to be filled beginning Monday, January 4, 2027.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Conduct oral health assessments, including charting existing conditions and identifying potential issues
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, diet, and preventive care strategies
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures with efficiency and professionalism
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with health regulations and practice standards
Promote a positive patient experience through compassionate communication and personalized care
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures
Proven experience in a dental setting, demonstrating proficiency in cleaning, radiography, and patient education
Strong knowledge of oral health best practices, infection control procedures, and safety standards
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with team members
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
A passion for promoting oral health and providing outstanding patient care
