Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care tailored to individual needs.
Assist with dental procedures such as prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, and periodontics as needed.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical and dental records using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Open Dental.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling medical documentation appropriately.
Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to provide seamless patient care and support the overall workflow of the dental office.
Requirements
Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.
Proven experience working in general dentistry settings; familiarity with dental office procedures is preferred.
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Open Dental for documentation and scheduling.
Knowledge of dental terminology, medical coding, and medical terminology relevant to dental care.
Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance standards and medical records management.
Ability to perform patient assessments accurately, including vital signs and oral health evaluations.
Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and coordinate with the dental team.
Experience with pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, or periodontics is a plus.
