Comprehensive Periodontics & Dental Implants
Orcutt, California
$62–$75 per hour, based on experience
Full-Time Opportunity | Flexible Scheduling | Immediate Opening
Why CPDI?
Join a periodontal and implant specialty practice where your expertise is valued beyond routine hygiene. We provide a collaborative, technology-driven clinical environment with an established patient base and a strong focus on patient education, disease management, and long-term periodontal and peri-implant health.
We currently have one to two days per week immediately available in Orcutt. Candidates interested in additional hours may also have opportunities in our Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo offices, allowing the position to expand toward a full-time schedule.
Part-time candidates are also encouraged to apply.
What We Offer:
Competitive compensation of $62–$75 per hour, based on experience, clinical skills, and availability
Consistent, established patient demand
Flexible scheduling across our Central Coast locations
Dedicated hygiene assistants who help with operatory setup and turnover, periodontal charting, and documentation support
Continuing education and training in advanced periodontal technologies
Potential signing bonus and relocation assistance based on availability and experience
Benefits:
Benefits available to eligible employees include:
Health and vision insurance
401(k) with employer matching and profit sharing
Paid time off
Continuing education support
Employee dental benefits
The Role:
Our hygienists are important clinical partners in the management of periodontal and peri-implant disease. You will work closely with our doctors and clinical team to provide thorough nonsurgical periodontal therapy, maintenance care, and patient education.
This opportunity is ideal for a hygienist who enjoys connecting clinical findings to patient understanding and helping patients make informed, confident decisions about their long-term care.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Periodontal and peri-implant maintenance
Scaling and root planing
Biofilm management and patient-specific home-care instruction
Comprehensive periodontal charting and clinical documentation
Collaboration with doctors on periodontal treatment planning and disease management
Education regarding periodontal health, dental implants, systemic health, and long-term maintenance
Advanced Clinical Environment:
We invest in technology that supports precision, patient comfort, and improved clinical outcomes, including:
Airflow therapy for biofilm management
Periodontal endoscopy, including perioscopy
Laser-assisted periodontal therapy
Intraoral scanning and digital workflows
Experience with these technologies is welcome but not required. Training and continuing education opportunities are available for hygienists interested in developing these skills.
Opportunity to Expand Your Role:
For a candidate interested in responsibilities beyond traditional hygiene, this position may gradually expand into a clinical treatment-coordination role working alongside our doctors.
Expanded responsibilities may include:
Reviewing health histories and periodontal findings
Helping prepare patients for comprehensive examinations
Reinforcing doctor diagnoses and recommendations
Helping patients understand treatment timing, sequencing, and next steps
Supporting continuity from diagnosis through active treatment and maintenance
Assisting with patient communication surrounding periodontal and implant procedures
This portion of the role is centered on patient education, clarity, trust, and continuity of care—not sales.
Who We’re Looking For:
A registered dental hygienist licensed in California
A compassionate clinician with a genuine interest in periodontal and implant care
A strong communicator who can explain complex clinical needs clearly
A dependable, team-oriented professional
Someone who values a collaborative clinical environment and long-term professional home
A hygienist interested in continued growth, advanced technology, and potentially expanding beyond traditional hygiene responsibilities
