Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice to cover a maternity leave position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional patient experiences. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly, patient-focused environment with a focus on comprehensive oral health care.

Responsibilities
Perform professional services within the scope of an Alberta registered dental hygienist
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care measures
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including orthodontic treatments and other specialized services
Maintain accurate patient records using ClearDent
Manage patient appointments efficiently and ensure a smooth flow of clinical operations
Sterilize and prepare dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy
Skills
Proficiency in ClearDent or similar dental practice management software a benefit
Knowledge of orthodontics, surgical and all other general dentistry procedures
Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients
Prior experience working in a dental office environment
Ability to work collaboratively within a team of dental professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week
