Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting good oral health practices. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the dental software system (Dentrix).
Assist the dentist during procedures, including orthodontic treatments when necessary.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Provide exceptional customer service to enhance patient experience and satisfaction.
Skills
Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry.
Experience with Dentrix or similar dental office management software.
Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with patients and address their needs.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations.
Knowledge of orthodontics is beneficial for assisting with specialized treatments.
Previous experience in dental assisting is advantageous but not required.
