Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our small dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall patient experience. This role requires a professional who is detail-oriented, personable, and committed to promoting optimal dental health in a friendly manner. This position is part time, 3 days a week with potential for full time hours in the future. Working days, and commision based pay can also be negotiated!
Duties
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride application
Take dental radiographs as needed
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
Maintain accurate patient records using Abledent
Support pediatric patients with gentle care and effective communication
Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe clinical environment
Address patient questions regarding treatment plans and post-treatment care
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth office operations and excellent patient service
Requirements
Completion of a two to three year college dental hygiene program.
Active licensing with CDHO
Experience with Abledent or similar dental office management software preferred
Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology is advantageous
Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about oral health
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
