Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of dental procedures and hygiene practices. Duties
Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies
Assist with patient examinations and recordkeeping using Dentrix or similar dental management software
Provide support during various dental procedures, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric dentistry
Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns or questions effectively
Maintain sterilization protocols and uphold infection control standards in accordance with OSHA regulations
Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and follow-up care instructions
Collaborate with the dental team to deliver high-quality patient care and foster a positive environment
Qualifications
Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the province of Ontario
Prior experience in dental offices, with proficiency in dental assisting preferred
Knowledge of Abeldent or similar dental management software is required
Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety
