Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dedicated dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, promote oral health education, and support the overall operations of our dental practice. Responsibilities
Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing procedures to maintain optimal oral health for patients.
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures with efficiency and professionalism.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Dentrix or similar dental management software.
Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure all dental equipment is properly maintained.
Qualifications
Valid -Nova Scotia licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
Experience with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software preferred. But not necessary.
Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, or general dentistry is advantageous.
Previous experience in a dental office setting is highly desirable. Not necessary.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental care.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 34 – 40 per week
