Job Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical history, and dental examinations to inform treatment plans.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) ensuring proper technique and patient safety in compliance with infection prevention protocols.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental health.
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Manage electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for accurate documentation of patient care and medical records.
Maintain strict infection control standards through aseptic techniques, sterilization of dental equipment, and adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
Monitor and record medical data, including vital signs and medical imaging results, ensuring comprehensive patient records are up-to-date.
Support the dental team with chairside assisting during general dentistry procedures, ensuring smooth workflow and optimal patient experience.
Uphold all healthcare infection prevention measures, including proper sterilization procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Experience
Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental office or clinic setting.
Proficiency with EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health.
Experience in pediatric dentistry or working with pediatric patients is a plus.
Familiarity with dental equipment operation, dental x-ray procedures, and infection control protocols.
Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their dental care needs.
Ability to review documentation thoroughly, ensure HIPAA compliance, and manage medical coding accurately for billing purposes.
