We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in both general and pediatric dentistry settings. You will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, conducting patient assessments, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional service in a friendly and professional environment.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal therapy for patients of all ages.
Conduct patient assessments, including taking medical histories and recording vital signs.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Utilize medical imaging tools to capture diagnostic images as needed.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Maintain a clean and organized dental office or clinic environment.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care for pediatric patients.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required.
Proficient in medical imaging techniques and patient assessment skills.
Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively within a dental office or clinic setting.
Previous experience assisting in a dental practice is an advantage but not mandatory.
