Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional dental care and education to our patients. Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and proper documentation
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to pediatric and general dentistry needs
Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures aligned with healthcare standards and HIPAA compliance
Requirements
Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations
Proven experience in dental office settings, preferably with pediatric dentistry or general dentistry practices
Proficiency with dental software systems such as Softdent for documentation and record management
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation, and medical terminology relevant to dental care
Skilled in patient communication, client education, and providing compassionate care tailored to diverse patient needs including pediatrics
Ability to perform dental x-rays accurately while maintaining strict safety standards for patients and staff
Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention, aseptic technique, and medical coding practices for accurate recordkeeping
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and documentation review
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
