Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, promote oral health, and support the overall operations of the clinic. The position requires a professional who is detail-oriented, efficient, and committed to maintaining high standards of dental hygiene.
Duties
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
Treatment plan
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
Assist with patient assessments and recordkeeping using Tracker
Support the dental team during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, organized treatment area
Manage patient appointments and follow-up care instructions
Communicate effectively with patients, including bilingual communication if applicable
Assist with pediatric patients and adapt procedures accordingly
Experience
Previous experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a dental office setting is required
Familiarity with Tracker or other dental practice management software is highly desirable
Experience with pediatrics, or general dentistry is a plus
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, including bilingual capabilities are advantageous
Knowledge of dental assisting procedures and medical terminology will enhance performance in this role
Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail is valued
Office Hours
Monday 7:30am to 4pm (3pm - June 1st to September 28 - summer)
Tuesday 7:30am to 4pm
Wednesday 7:30am to 4pm
Thursday 7:30am to 4pm
Friday 7:30am - 2:30pm
