Job Description
Job Title: Registered Dental Hygienist
(SATURDAYS ONLY)
Dental Hygienist Responsibilities & Duties
Perform thorough oral hygiene assessments, including reviewing medical history and dental charting.
Clean and remove plaque and calculus from teeth and along the gumline using dental instruments.
Take dental x-rays and assist the dentist in diagnostic procedures.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized preventive care instructions.
Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants.
Perform periodontal charting to assess and monitor gum health.
Assist the dentist during dental procedures and ensure a sterile and safe environment.
Perform oral cancer screenings and identify any abnormalities.
Manage patient recall system and schedule appointments for follow-up care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date dental records and documentation.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
Adhere to all infection control and sterilization procedures.
Stay updated with advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies.
Dental Hygienist Qualifications & Skills
Experience in a dental hygienist role
Proficiency in using dental software and technology
Advanced knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
Certification in administering local anesthesia
Excellent manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with periodontal treatment procedures
Ability to work effectively in a team setting
High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
Experience with dental radiography
Successful completion of an accredited Dental Hygiene program.
Current state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred.
Proficiency in using dental software and technology.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, oral anatomy, and periodontal disease.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively educate and interact with patients.
Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with other dental professionals.
Detail-oriented approach to provide thorough patient care and document accurately.
Commitment to staying updated with continuing education and professional development.
Exceptional hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Pay: $43.00 - $86.00 per hour
