Position Summary
As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will play an essential role in delivering comprehensive preventive care while helping patients achieve and maintain excellent oral health. You will work closely with our doctors and clinical team to create individualized treatment plans while providing exceptional patient care and education.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
Review medical histories, update patient records, and perform vital assessments.
Capture intraoral and extraoral radiographs and clinical photographs.
Complete comprehensive periodontal examinations and charting in accordance with CDHO guidelines.
Perform scaling, root planing, air polishing, fluoride treatments, sealant applications, and desensitization treatments.
Conduct periodontal re-evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
Execute the ADPIE process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
Manage doctor examinations and collaborate with dentists to diagnose conditions and develop treatment plans.
Schedule and coordinate consecutive hygiene appointments as needed.
Patient Care and Education
Provide individualized oral hygiene instructions and preventive care recommendations.
Educate patients about the connection between oral health and overall health.
Present treatment recommendations and encourage patient participation in their care.
Promote patient comfort by utilizing our comfort menu and patient-focused approach.
Build long-term relationships based on trust, compassion, and exceptional service.
Team Collaboration and Practice Growth
Participate in morning huddles, team meetings, and continuing education programs.
Contribute to a positive and supportive workplace culture.
Support practice growth through strong patient relationships, recall management, and referrals.
Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, organization, and efficiency.
Qualifications
Current registration and good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO).
Previous experience as a registered dental hygienist is considered an asset.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
