Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health.

Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and the importance of maintaining healthy habits.

Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and patient comfort.

Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.

Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and managing sensitive medical information responsibly.

Requirements
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice.

Proven experience in dental office settings, preferably with pediatric dentistry or general dentistry backgrounds.

Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and understanding of anatomy relevant to oral health.

Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and record management.

Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures within a dental clinic environment.

Ability to perform chairside assisting duties efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care standards.

Strong communication skills to educate patients effectively about dental procedures and health practices.

Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus; certification or training in pediatric dentistry is advantageous.
