Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety. This role requires a compassionate approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the dental team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral examinations.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and clean environment during dental procedures.
- Perform medical imaging as required, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Provide pediatric dental care, ensuring a positive experience for younger patients.
- Use Epic software for patient management and Dentrix for scheduling and record-keeping.
- Review documentation to ensure compliance with health regulations and standards.
- Monitor vital signs as necessary and provide appropriate patient care during treatments.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventative care, and post-treatment instructions.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience in patient assessment and care within a dental setting.
- Familiarity with medical records management and documentation review processes.
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques and medical imaging procedures.
- Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Epic software for patient management is a plus.
- Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
