Job Summary

Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to develop personalized care plans.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to empower them in maintaining healthy smiles.
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting treatment plans, patient responses, and procedural notes in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Follow strict infection control procedures using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a sterile environment in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Skills
Proficiency with dental software systems
CPR certification required
Up to date dental Hygiene license
Experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred to effectively care for young patients in a compassionate manner.
Ability to perform chairside assisting seamlessly during various dental procedures while maintaining a high level of patient care.
Familiarity with infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes within a dental clinic setting.
Excellent communication skills for patient education, team collaboration, and documentation review.
