Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Overview
Welcome to Whatcom Creek Dental in beautiful Bellingham, WA! We are a Family General Dentistry practice seeking a dedicated and empathetic Dental Hygienist. Our practice focuses on comprehensive care and whole-body health, with a special focus on sleep and airway. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients while going the extra mile to ensure their comfort and ease their anxiety. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting. We maintain a professional environment, but we also love to laugh and have fun with each other and our patients!

Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits
Take dental radiographs
Assist in the diagnosis of oral diseases by examining patients' gums and teeth
Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in Dentrix
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with infection control protocols
Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to provide comprehensive patient care (i.e. co-diagnosis)
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies
Skills
Proficiency in Dentrix (preferred but not required)
Strong knowledge of general dentistry practices
Familiarity with dental terminology and medical terminology relevant to patient care
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and team members
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Schedule
Mondays 8am-4pm
Tuesdays 8am-4pm
Wednesdays 8am-4pm
Potential for Thursdays 8am-4pm
1hr for lunch daily
Compensation and Benefits
$65-70/hr depending on experience
