Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent oral healthcare to our patients. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and commitment to patient care will contribute to the success of our dental practice.
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental cleanings, including removing plaque and calculus from teeth
- Take and dental x-rays
- Administer local anesthesia and apply fluoride treatments
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile dental environment
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental technology and techniques
Qualifications:
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in Kentucky
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and operate medical imaging equipment
- Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in maintaining accurate medical records
- Solid understanding of dental anatomy, medical terminology, and oral health conditions
