Job Description
We're a close-knit, family-friendly neighborhood practice looking for a hygienist effective immediately due to maternity leave coverage, with future part time coverage needed and sought.
Schedule:
Mon: 9:15 AM – 3:30 PM
Tue: 9:45 AM – 6:00 PM
Wed: 7:45 AM – 2:00 PM
Thu: 10:45 AM – 7:00 PM
1 Saturday/month: 6/22, 7/11, 8/22, 9/19 (7:45 AM – 2:00 PM)
Our team has been together 9+ years and we use the latest technology — CBCT, digital scanner, and dental lasers. Spanish speaking preferred, any coverage, availability will be prioritized.
Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team! Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options.
Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and comfort.
Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Follow strict HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality and data security at all times.
Experience
Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a general or pediatric dentistry setting.
Familiarity with dental terminology, medical coding, and documentation review processes.
Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and anatomy relevant to dental care.
Experience using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for record keeping and documentation management.
Strong understanding of pediatric dentistry principles when working with children or adolescent patients.
Ability to perform medical imaging procedures accurately while maintaining patient comfort.
