Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary habits, and preventive practices
Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments with professionalism and efficiency
Review patient medical histories and update records accurately in compliance with privacy regulations
Provide post-treatment instructions and answer patient questions clearly and confidently
Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure all dental equipment is properly sanitized and prepared for use
Skills
Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state or regional licensing boards
Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, infection control standards, and radiography techniques
Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and foster trust
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for managing patient records and appointments
Passion for promoting oral health education and preventive care practices
