Our growing and busy dental practice in Nova Scotia is seeking a motivated, patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team full-time.

Responsibilities
Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Document treatment procedures accurately in the dental management system
Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure all dental instruments are properly sanitized
Manage patient scheduling, answer questions, and foster a welcoming environment for all patients
Support the dental team with administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth office operations
Skills
Proficiency with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations
Experience in dental assisting or related roles is preferred
Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care and comfort
Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Excellent communication skills to educate patients about oral health practices
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour
