Job Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current health status to tailor personalized care plans.

Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental x-ray equipment, adhering to infection prevention protocols.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to promote long-term oral health.

Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient experience.

Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix), documenting treatment details, medical information, and procedural notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Manage infection control procedures by sterilizing dental instruments, maintaining aseptic techniques, and ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized.

Monitor patient vital signs before, during, and after treatments while ensuring their comfort throughout their visit.

Support the dental team with chairside assisting duties, including passing instruments and managing dental equipment during procedures.

Uphold patient confidentiality by strictly following HIPAA guidelines and safeguarding medical records at all times.

Qualifications
Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.

Proven experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings with proficiency in pediatric dentistry preferred.

Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health care.

Familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and electronic health records management.

Expertise in infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control standards.

Ability to perform dental radiography (X-ray) procedures accurately while maintaining safety protocols.

Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach toward patient education and care.

Knowledge of medical coding practices related to dental procedures for accurate documentation.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and adhering to HIPAA compliance standards.
