Registered Dental Hygienist

Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.

Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and the importance of maintaining healthy habits.

Assist the dentist during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and comfort.

Take digital X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.

Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and managing sensitive medical information appropriately.

Requirements
Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.

BLS certification
Proven experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings, with a strong understanding of dental terminology and anatomy knowledge.

Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and medical records management.

Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures to maintain a safe clinical environment.
