Job Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care! Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, to maintain optimal oral health for patients from age of 3-20.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental x-ray equipment, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health.
Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) by documenting treatment details, medical terminology, and patient interactions in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Monitor and operate dental equipment efficiently while adhering to infection control standards using aseptic techniques and healthcare infection prevention expertise.
Qualifications
Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.
Demonstrating proficiency in dental care patient education and clinical procedures.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical records management.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Dentrix is highly preferred.
Expertise in infection prevention management, including sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their oral health needs.
Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and maintaining patient confidentiality.
