Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! Duties
Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and oral examinations, to evaluate dental health status.
Clean teeth using ultrasonic scalers, hand instruments, and other dental hygiene tools, ensuring optimal plaque removal and gum health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary choices, and preventive care strategies to promote long-term oral health.
Assist with dental procedures such as prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, and pediatric dentistry as needed.
Maintain accurate medical and dental records within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar EMR systems.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling medical documentation responsibly.
Collaborate seamlessly with dentists and dental assistants to coordinate patient care and streamline clinic operations.
Skills
Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with general dentistry procedures to effectively communicate with team members and patients.
Experience using EMR systems such as Epic, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft for documentation and medical coding purposes.
Knowledge of specialized areas including prosthodontics, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and periodontics.
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical records management to ensure patient privacy.
Excellent patient assessment skills combined with the ability to educate and motivate patients toward better oral health habits.
Prior experience in dental office settings or clinics demonstrating proficiency in dental assisting tasks and medical documentation.
Ability to handle medical terminology confidently while supporting comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced environment.
