Join Our Team as a Dental Hygienist!
We are seeking a dedicated, patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our established dental practice in Columbia, South Carolina. The ideal candidate is passionate about preventive oral healthcare, committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences, and thrives in a collaborative team environment.
Location: Columbia, South Carolina
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Thursday (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
Compensation: Competitive salary, plus benefits
Responsibilities
Perform dental cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and preventive treatments
Conduct patient assessments and document medical and dental histories
Take and review dental radiographs (X-rays)
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants as appropriate
Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
Ensure compliance with infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols
Collaborate with dentists and team members to provide comprehensive patient care
Periodontal scaling and root planing
Qualifications
Associate degree or higher in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
Current South Carolina Dental Hygienist license in good standing
Current CPR/BLS certification
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment
Experience with dental practice management software preferred (Eaglesoft)
One year of experience (New graduates may also apply)
