Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, while adhering to infection prevention protocols.

Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to inform treatment plans.

Take dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety.

Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information at all times.

Prepare and sterilize dental equipment, manage infection control measures, and uphold aseptic techniques in the clinical environment.

Support pediatric dentistry services by applying specialized knowledge of pediatrics and providing gentle, age-appropriate care.

Skills
Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and record management.

Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical imaging techniques.

Expertise in infection prevention management, healthcare infection control practices, and aseptic technique.

Ability to interpret dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately for diagnosis and treatment planning.

Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to diverse populations including children.

Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems (EMR systems), documentation review, medical coding, and HIPAA compliance management.

Knowledge of dental equipment operation and maintenance for optimal clinical performance.

Strong understanding of medical records management, documentation review processes, and healthcare regulations related to privacy and confidentiality.
