Job Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment, ensuring quality images for diagnosis
Assess patient health by measuring vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration before procedures
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations
Assist the dentist during procedures through chairside assisting, ensuring smooth workflow with four-handed dentistry techniques
Review and update medical records and electronic health records (EHR/EMR) accurately following HIPAA compliance standards
Maintain infection prevention protocols by adhering to infection control guidelines and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety
Requirements
Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations
Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and record management
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry procedures
Experience in pediatric dentistry is highly desirable to effectively care for young patients
Strong understanding of dental equipment operation, X-ray safety procedures, and infection control practices
Excellent communication skills for patient education and client interaction in a friendly manner
Ability to perform patient assessments accurately while maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
