Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a new, long-term, patient first Registered Dental Hygienist to care for our wonderful Rivertown patients!
If you are tired of feeling rushed and you love patient interactions, this is for you!
Parlor Dental is a local, prosthodontist-led practice focused on great patient experiences and exceptional clinical outcomes.
We protect your time so you can focus on doing what you do best, our recare appointments run for 1 hour and new patient visit run for 1.5 hours.

Responsibilities
Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent disease and maintain oral health.
Provide periodontal therapy, including scaling and root planing (SRP), periodontal maintenance, and perio charting to monitor and manage gum health.
Collaborate closely with the dentist to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review, to inform treatment plans.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster lifelong healthy habits.
Schedule recare appointments for patients during their visit before they leave.
Skills
Strong people skills — warm, personable, and able to build trust and rapport with patients quickly.
Excellent clinical skills in prophylaxis and periodontal therapy, delivering thorough, comfortable cleanings.
Confident communicator who can educate patients on their oral health and answer questions clearly.
Proficient in taking dental radiographs (X-rays) with proper technique and patient safety.
Experience with dental practice software is a plus — we use Curve, but we'll train the right person.
Pay: $50.00 - $68.00 per hour
