Job Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting oral health. Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct initial patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and dental radiographs using medical imaging equipment.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options to improve their overall health.
Assist the dentist during procedures with chairside assisting, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are strictly followed.
Review and document medical records accurately while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
Monitor and record vital signs before procedures to ensure patient safety during treatment.
Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review, scheduling, and medical coding to ensure precise recordkeeping.
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice.
Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments; familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Proficiency in dental terminology, EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, and dental assisting techniques.
Strong knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic technique, anatomy, and medical terminology.
Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care.
Experience with dental office management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is preferred.
