Each hygienist is paired with an amazing dental assistant who helps keep your day running efficiently by:
Seating patients
Taking all necessary x-rays
Preparing treatment rooms
Assisting with patient flow
Cleaning and resetting rooms after each appointment
Helping keep you on schedule
This allows you to focus on providing exceptional patient care, building patient relationships, and maximizing your productivity. Our hygienists consistently tell us this is one of their favorite parts of working here.

Responsibilities
Preventive & Periodontal Care
Adult and child prophylaxis
Periodontal maintenance
Scaling and Root Planing (SRP)
Full Mouth Debridement (FMD)
Gross debridement procedures
Fluoride treatments
Sealants
Curodont Repair treatments
Comprehensive periodontal charting
Oral health assessments and patient education
Patient Education & Treatment Acceptance
Educate patients on oral hygiene and home care
Discuss periodontal disease and oral-systemic health connections
Help patients understand recommended treatment
Support treatment acceptance through education and communication
Team Collaboration
Work closely with doctors, hygiene assistants, dental assistants, and front office team members
Support efficient patient flow and schedule productivite
Help create a seamless and exceptional patient experience
Compliance & Documentation
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Dentrix
Complete periodontal charting and treatment documentation
Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and radiation safety standards
Maintain CPR certification and continuing education requirements
Qualifications Required
Active Maryland Dental Hygiene License
CPR Certification
Strong periodontal and preventive care skills
Excellent communication and patient education abilities
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Dentrix experience
Experience working in an assisted hygiene model
Strong treatment acceptance and patient communication skills
