Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to promote optimal oral health.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while ensuring proper infection prevention techniques and aseptic procedures.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term dental health.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling sensitive medical information responsibly.
Support infection prevention management through proper sterilization procedures, aseptic techniques, and adherence to healthcare infection control standards.
Communicate effectively with patients to address questions or concerns about their treatment plans or dental procedures.
Requirements
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials to practice in a clinical setting.
Proven experience in general dentistry with a strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology.
Strong communication skills for client interaction and education on dental care patient education topics.
Commitment to HIPAA compliance management and maintaining high standards of patient confidentiality at all times.
Experience working in a busy dental office or clinic environment is highly desirable;
