Job Summary
We are currently looking for an energetic, full-time OR part-time hygienist who loves working with children & enjoys working as a team. Applicants must be compassionate and maintain a positive outlook. We have 5 doctors that travel between our three offices in Fort Worth, Keller and Saginaw. We offer competitive pay, 401k, vacation & PTO depending on if you are part-time for full-time.
The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a safe and efficient clinical environment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, patient assessment, and infection control protocols, ensuring the highest standards of oral health care are met.
Responsibilities
Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning and polishing teeth to prevent oral disease
Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories
Assist with chairside procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques
Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to safety protocols
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions
Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures
Review medical records for completeness and accuracy prior to treatment
Assist with patient management in pediatric dentistry cases when necessary
Comply with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
Support the dental team with general administrative tasks related to patient care
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist
Proven experience in dental office settings, including pediatric dentistry
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and documentation review processes
Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques
Ability to perform vital signs assessment and utilize medical imaging equipment effectively
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach toward diverse patient populations, including pediatrics
Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and medical records management
Effective communication skills to educate patients about oral health strategies
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
