Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately and efficiently
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
Assist in patient education about orthodontics, pediatrics, and overall dental health
Maintain detailed patient records using Dentrix dental management software
Support the dental team with assisting during procedures and managing patient flow
Communicate effectively with patients in multiple languages, if bilingual skills are available, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout their visit
Requirements
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials
Proven experience in a dental office setting, preferably with pediatric and orthodontic cases
Proficiency with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and patient care
Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse patient populations
Experience with dental assisting techniques is a plus but not required
Bilingual abilities are highly valued to enhance communication with a broader patient base
