Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and eager to learn dental hygienist to join our practice! In addition to providing comprehensive services, our goal is to educate patients with extensive dental knowledge. We are searching for a hygienist committed to a team focused approach to help patients get the smile they have always wanted. Come join our wonderful team! We may not reply to all applicants. EOE

- We are a hardworking team composed of dental assistants, hygienists, administrative personnel, and an amazing general dentist.
- We use Dentrix and have 6 chairs to see patients at our cosmetic and family practice.

About You
- We are seeking a friendly and motivated hygienist that can help provide the best care to our patients.
- The right candidate is a team player, able to adapt, and eager to learn.
- We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and be able to educate patients about dentistry.
- Ensure patients feel comfortable before their examination
- Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
- Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis
- Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene
- Take full mouth X-rays in patients of all ages.
- Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)
- Maintain documentation and charts on each patient.
Skills
- Experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred but not required.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession
- Exceptional communication skills
- A patient and friendly personality
- Attention to detail
- Diploma in Dental Hygiene and valid license to practice
