Registered Dental Hygienist (Full-Time) — Peterborough, ON Lansdowne Place Dental & Cornerstone Family Dentistry | $45–$55/hr | Modern Practices
About the Opportunity
We are two well-established, patient-focused dental practices in Peterborough — Lansdowne Place Dental and Cornerstone Family Dentistry — seeking a full-time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for both new graduates looking to build a strong clinical foundation and experienced hygienists seeking a stable, long-term home in a collaborative environment.
Both practices are supported by an experienced clinical and administrative team, a steadily growing patient base, and a culture that prioritizes preventive care, clinical excellence, and work-life balance.
Compensation and Benefits
$45–$55 per hour, commensurate with experience

Schedule
Full-time, approximately 32–40 hours per week
Hours split between both Peterborough locations (schedule discussed at interview)
Weekday daytime and select evening shifts with added bonus structure
Optional Saturday availability — flexible, based on hygienist preference
Duties and Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive dental hygiene care, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including orthodontic treatments and other specialized services
Conduct thorough periodontal assessments and document findings accurately
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using Open Dental
Uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient safety in accordance with IPAC, CDHO, and RCDSO guidelines
Manage patient questions and concerns with professionalism and excellent customer service
Collaborate with dentists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care
Qualifications
Required
Registered Dental Hygienist license in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO)
Current professional liability insurance
Current CPR certification
Proficiency with Open Dental or similar dental practice management software
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Commitment to patient-centered care and professional growth
Preferred
Minimum two (2) years of clinical hygiene experience preferred — new graduates also welcome to apply
Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
Experience with periodontal therapy and recall program management
Local self-initiation authorization (asset, not required)
Work Location: In person — Peterborough, Ontario (Lansdowne Place Dental and Cornerstone Family Dentistry)
