Trident Smiles Dental | Sunnyvale, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Trident Smiles Dental is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our modern, paperless practice in Sunnyvale. We’re looking for someone who provides thorough clinical care, builds patient trust, and helps patients understand how to maintain a healthy smile.
Our practice uses Dentrix Ascend, digital imaging, and advanced dental technology to support patient care and team collaboration.
Compensation
Base daily pay: $600.

Responsibilities
Create a welcoming experience and help patients feel comfortable throughout their visit.
Review medical and dental histories and document relevant changes.
Perform periodontal assessments and charting, and communicate findings to the dentist.
Provide preventive cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and scaling and root planing as prescribed.
Take diagnostic dental X-rays and obtain digital itero scans as needed.
Apply fluoride and other preventive treatments within your scope of practice.
Educate patients about brushing, flossing, periodontal health, and personalized home care.
Help patients understand the dentist’s recommendations and the importance of timely treatment.
Provide clear instructions after hygiene and periodontal procedures.
Maintain accurate, timely clinical notes in Dentrix Ascend.
Follow infection-control protocols, sterilize instruments, and maintain treatment areas and equipment.
Collaborate with doctors, assistants, and the front office to support an organized schedule and continuity of care.
Qualifications
Current California Registered Dental Hygienist license.
Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
Current CPR/BLS certification.
Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.
Clear communication and a warm, professional approach.
Knowledge of infection control, patient privacy, and workplace safety.
Ability to work collaboratively and manage appointment time effectively.
Comfort with digital charting; Dentrix Ascend experience is a plus.
